Trac Records and Sellwood Publishing (BMI) began operation 1972 as a recording studio, record label and publishing company, recording, publishing and distributing original audio works for multiple genres. Owner Stan Anderson (1927-2019) has recorded hundreds of musicians and bands over the years and has a great reputation for being devoted to the warm-dynamic sound of analog tape recording. The studio is based around a vintage MCI JH428 24 track recording console and MCI JH 24 tape machine along with a great collection of inboard and outboard gear including an EMT-140 Plate Reverb plate and numerous vintage Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG, RCA and Sure microphones that have achieved exceptional recording quality for thousands of musicians both amateur and professional.
